The Village will activate the early warning siren system and send a Connect CTY message upon the issuance of a tornado warning for the Village of Steeleville and immediate surrounding area by the National Weather Service.
The Village will activate the early warning siren system upon the confirmed sighting of a funnel cloud or active rotation in a severe thunderstorm that is approaching the village. A "confirmed sighting" is a sighting that is observed by a law enforcement official or other trained weather spotter.
No "ALL CLEAR" sounding will be utilized.
